Free Concert: Raining Jane performs Feb. 11

Leave the umbrellas at home! Rock and roll is in the forecast for Monday, Feb. 11 in the SURC Pit as folk-rock band Raining Jane returns to Central for not one, but two concerts! Tickets are free to both the noon and 7 p.m. performance, so get ready for a day of lively melodies and creative harmonies.

Began in 1999, Raining Jane is an all-girl quartet who specialize in redefining what rock can be. A sitar and cello add an interesting quality to their sound, and after 13 years of touring and 4 album releases, they’re still going strong.

Their music can be heard on TV shows such as “Grey’s Anatomy,” “So You Think You Can Dance?” and “Dancing with the Stars” as well as features with fellow musician Jason Mraz.
