Are you are enrolled in Fall Quarter classes and have charges due on your student account? If yes, the Student Accounts Office invites you to sign up for the Fall Quarter CWU Payment Plan. By enrolling in the payment plan you can avoid late fees on any unpaid tuition or housing charges.
ENROLLMENT - In order to enroll, you must complete the online enrollment form via your SAFARI account, which is located in the finance area of you student center - click on Enroll in Payment Plan. Upon enrolling, a $50, non-refundable service fee will be charged to your student account and included in your total payment plan balance. Please note, you will not be able to enroll if you have charges on your student account from a previous quarter. Those charges must be paid in full prior to enrolling in the plan.
Enrollment is only open from the 5th - 9th day of instruction each quarter. However, in Fall 2013, enrollment will be open through Friday, October 11th. If you have not enrolled in the payment plan by October 11th you will be ineligible to participate in the payment plan this quarter. After enrolling, you will receive an acceptance notification in your CWU GroupWise email account confirming the terms and conditions of the payment plan.
PAYMENTS - Payments will be divided into three equal installments, which will include all applicable charges accrued during the quarter of enrollment in the plan. Payments will be due on the 15th of each month of the quarter (or the next business day). For Fall Quarter, payments must be received by the Student Accounts Office on or before the 15th of October, November, and December. If charges that are included in the plan are reversed or reduced, the installment payments may also be reduced. If additional charges are incurred during the quarter, they will not be included in the plan.
FINES & FEES - A payment received 5 days after the due date will be considered late and the account will be assessed a late fee of $20.00. Two late payments may result in the cancellation of the payment plan and future enrollment in the payment plan may be denied. If the bank returns your payment for any reason, including non-sufficient funds, unable to locate account, or declined web payment, a $30.00 penalty fee will be added to your account for each occurrence.
REASONS FOR DISMISSAL - The Student Account Office may dismiss you from the payment plan and place a hold on registration and other University services such as transcripts and your diploma if you fail to meet the requirement of the plan. If you are dropped, applicable fees will be applied according to the policies defined by the Registrar (in the case of tuition), and by your housing contract (in the case of housing charges due). Any unpaid balance on your account will be subject to CWU’s collection procedures for collecting past due balances.
