Don’t Waste, Donate
June 3 – 6
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Make this year’s spring cleaning meaningful. Why dispose of your unwanted belongings when you can make a difference? The Center for Leadership and Community Engagement (CLCE) encourages you to take your unwanted items to Don’t Waste, Donate collection locations instead of discarding them.
Don’t Waste, Donate gathers these items and redistributes them through the Campus Surplus facility with all monetary proceeds going F.I.S.H. Food Bank. In addition, food items of the non-perishable variety will also be accepted in the SURC and donated to the F.I.S.H. Food Bank.
Volunteers are also welcome to participate in Don’t Waste, Donate. Volunteers are needed to help with the collection and transportation of the items.
The event will take place on campus Tuesday-Friday, June 3-6. Hours will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Collection locations will be spread throughout campus for your convenience. The locations include: Kamola, Stephens-Whitney, Beck Hall, Barto Hall, Wendell Hill Hall, and the SURC East Patio.
Visit the CLCE office in SURC 256 to start volunteering. If you have volunteered with the CLCE before, you can sign up for Don’t Waste, Donate at www.cwu.edu/leadership-engage.
