The Outdoor Speaker Series wraps up with an exciting story from brothers Michael and David Hanson Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. in the SURC Theatre. The brothers paddled the length of the Chattahoochee-Flint-Apalachicola rivers in Georgia, Alabama and Florida on a 30-day canoe trip last year on a mission to find out who owns the water and make sure this essential resource isn’t depleted. The duo compiled their findings, interviews and hours of tape to bring attention to the most threatened river in the United States in a short documentary film “Who Owns Water?” that will debut later this year.
Join the two as they review the results of their research and discuss how we can all help raise awareness and save a non-renewable resource essential to our survival. This event is free and open to the public.
