CWU in the Canyon October 6th, 2012

CWU in the Canyon
Oct. 6, 2012
8 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Explore one of the most exciting landscapes in Central Washington while participating in a longstanding CWU legacy. Every October for the past 40 years, hundreds of CWU students and community members have joined together to clean and protect the Yakima River Canyon. This year, “CWU in the Canyon” expands upon the traditional litter removal project to include team-based activities such as canyon-wide trail restoration, campsite renovation, and ecosystem revitalization.

The Center for Leadership and Community Engagement (CLCE) works to foster public awareness and leadership for important local and global issues. To volunteer or for more information, contact the CLCE by calling (509) 963-1850, emailing, visiting, or stopping by the CLCE office in SURC 256.
