Combined Fund Drive and Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

As the media continues to highlight the devastation caused by, and the relief efforts for victims of, Superstorm Sandy, we are reminded that there is still more to do.

Washington state employees and retirees have already donated more than $24,000 to the relief efforts; there is still time to contribute and make a difference.  From now until November 23, you can make a donation to the Combined Fund Drive (CFD) Hurricane Sandy Relief Campaign; your donation will go to the charities shown on the CFD webpage. Because the need is so immediate and to ensure donations are available as soon as possible, this campaign is funded 100% by credit card donations.

In addition, CFD is continuing its campaign to raise funds for relief efforts right here in Central Washington.  Following last summer's devastating fires, people are now faced with the daunting task of rebuilding their lives.  We as a community have the opportunity to help.

Please remember that, via payroll deduction, CFD provides you an opportunity to make a difference throughout the year.  Charities and nonprofit agencies appreciate payroll deduction; they know they have a steady stream of income and are better able to budget for the year.

If you have questions about the CFD, the two relief-effort campaigns mentioned above or, want to learn how to donate to any of the THOUSANDS of other charities and non-profit agencies which have been vetted by CFD, please call Karla Shugart (963-2270), Ken Baxter (963-1149), or Rob Lowery (963-1487).
