Career Counselor Open Forums

The four finalists for the position of Career Counselor in Career Services at Central Washington University will participate in public open forums. Please plan on attending and giving feedback. Each candidate’s resume is linked to their name below. The schedule is as follows:

Petra Barba: October 13, 4-5 p.m., Bouillon 211

Jay Pfeiffer:  October 16, 4-5 p.m., Bouillon 211

Megan McConnell: October 18, 4-5 p.m., Bouillon 211

Here is a brief summary of this position's primary duties:

-Provide career counseling, career advising, career assessments, and job-finding assistance to students and alumni to assist them in gaining greater insight into themselves and the world of work.

-Assist College of Business students to prepare and compete for internships, professional employment, graduate & professional school opportunities. Develop, improve, and maintain relationships with assigned College via Associate Deans, Department Chairs, Faculty, and Student Organizations. Develop, improve, and maintain relationships with employers related to assigned college, ultimately leading to expansion of the quantity and quality of full-time, part-time, job and internship opportunities available for COB students.
