Care Kits Needed for Individuals Freed from Modern Slavery

Care Kit Item Collection
Feb. 20 – March 6
10 am to 2 pm
SURC Tabling

Human trafficking is one of the largest criminal industries in the world. It is also a rapidly growing problem in the United States. Each year, hundreds of thousands of men, women and children in America are subject to forced labor and sexual exploitation.

You can help survivors of human trafficking by donating care kit items at the tabling station in the SURC. There will also be a station to donate care kit items during the upcoming Human Trafficking Forum. All collected items will go to Juneteenth Central Washington and the Genesis Project, both of which are organizations dedicated to helping survivors of human trafficking.

Useful items to donate include…
Shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, shavers, cotton swabs, tampons, toothbrushes, and toothpaste
