Notice Type:
Notices
Event Date:
Tue, 04/16/2019 to Mon, 04/29/2019

Do you have zeal for CWU and the campus community? Do you long to make the university an even better place to learn, and to earn?  Then your EEA needs you!

CWU’s Exempt Employee Association is dedicated to ensuring the university provides a conducive environment for teaching, learning, research, and service through:

• Providing a unified voice of exempt employees (administrators through professional staff);
• Developing and presenting recommendations to the university administration on employee welfare, including revisions to personnel policy and procedures;
• Representing exempt employees on influential university committees; and
• Overseeing the Exempt Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year awards programs.

EEA is guided by a nine-member executive committee, comprised of representatives from the Academic and Student Life, Business and Financial Affairs, Enrollment Management, Operations, and President’s Divisions, along with four at-large representatives.

Each representative serves a two-year term. For 2019-2020, there are five positions open for election. They are:

o 1 Representative from Academic and Student Life;
o 1 Representative from Enrollment Management; and
o 3 Representatives at-large (can be from any division)

Nominations will be accepted for the 2019-2020 executive committee service through April  29. Nominations may be made via e-mail to exemptempassoc@cwu.edu. Any member of the campus community may nominate an exempt employee.

The current executive committee representatives who will continue to serve for the second year of their terms next year are:
• Toni Burvee, Business and Financial Affairs
• Jonathon Henderson, Operations
• Robert Lowery, President’s
• Deanna Marshall, representative at-large

Are you, or someone you know, able and willing to step up to fill an important campus role? Then encourage them to submit a nomination, or do it on their behalf. Please do not hesitate to contact me or any executive committee member if you have any questions.

Let’s all continue to work together to make CWU an even more special place than it is today.
