CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR A LITERARY EVENT AT SOURCE
THEMES: WIND, WATER AND FIRE
Do you have a short short story, creative nonfiction piece or poem around the themes of wind, water or fire? For a special SOURCE session, Prof. Lisa Norris (English Dept) is seeking original student work that can be read aloud in less than five minutes.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Feb 22
WORD LIMIT FOR PROSE: 750 words
THEME: The work must somehow address or include references to wind, water or fire.
• Prose: Typed, double-spaced, with a centered title. Name and contact info (email, phone number) at top left-hand corner. Be sure to number pages.
• Poetry: Typed, single-spaced between lines, double-spaced between stanzas. Title is required. Name and contact info (email, phone number) at top left-hand corner. Be sure to number pages.
HOW TO SUBMIT: You may either
(1) email submissions to NorrisL@cwu.edu. The subject line of your email should read “SOURCE submission”
(2) or place hard copies in Professor Lisa Norris’s mailbox in L and L 423
NOTE: By submitting your work, you are requesting permission to perform your work as part of the SOURCE presentation on May 16, 2013.
TIMELINE: Professor Norris will email you to acknowledge your submission and then will email to let you know her decisions by March 1, 2013.
