A special benefit concert and fund raising event is planned for the Joe Smith family Friday from 7-11 pm at the Ellensburg Moose Lodge on Main Street.  Joe was a former All-American kicker for Central and a longtime fixture in the Ellensburg restaurant scene.  He passed away in his sleep in February.  Seattle popular band Dusty 45s will perform throughout the evening which will be seasoned with a silent and live auction of over 100 items from a Nolan Ryan autographed ball to trips to Las Vegas.  All proceeds will go to his expecting longtime girl friend and their 3 year old daughter.  Lots of surprises throughout the event.
