2018 Commencement Ceremonies Update

Notice Type:

Below are the upcoming changes regarding our 2018 Commencement ceremonies.

On the evening of Friday, June 8, 2018, the School of Graduates Studies and Research will be hosting its first annual Graduate Hooding and Commencement Ceremony in Nicholson Pavilion. This ceremony will integrate the conferring of degrees into the existing hooding ceremony to create one Commencement event for graduate students. This ceremony is intended to celebrate the successful completion of all Master’s and Education Specialist (EdS) degrees. A reception will follow the event.

On Saturday, June 9, 2018, two commencement ceremonies for undergraduate students will be held in Tomlinson Stadium. These ceremonies are intended to celebrate the successful completion of all Bachelor’s degrees.

On Sunday, June 10, 2018, the commencement ceremony for all Westside Center graduates will be held at ShoWare Center in Kent, WA. Both undergraduate and graduate students are invited to attend this ceremony. Graduate students opting to attend this ceremony will be hooded on stage by their faculty mentor.

More information regarding the details of these ceremonies will be released in the coming months.
