With entertainment, including outdoor excursions, live performance and fine dining, the weekend is full of activities for students, their families and the community. The weekend is filled with events that display Central’s creative and artistic side, from an art exhibition to the musical theatre production of Les Miserables, friends and families will have a variety of options to experience the wealth of talent at Central. Those looking for a laugh can attend Comedy Night Friday, featuring comedienne Susan Rice with a special appearance by Geof Lott. Attendees wanting to be active can visit the Recreation Center throughout the weekend or attend Outdoor Zumba Saturday morning.
“It’s really cool for families to see what students have access to on a daily basis and throughout the year and to have it all in one weekend for their families to enjoy,” said Alyssa Herandy, Family Weekend student coordinator.
Family Weekend concludes on Mother's Day with a special brunch filled with a delicious selection of eats and a special musical performance by Eric E, who is known for performing originals as well as hits from the past 100 years.
