College of Business

International Cafe Spring 2017

The College of Business hosted an event on April 20th called the International Café. This event had an impressive turnout of over 50 students with various cultural backgrounds. It was great to see everyone interacting and having a good time. The theme for this event was Bridging the Gap in International Business. Students were up and moving around the room “Bridging the Gap” in international interactions.

The College of Business had students at the event interacting with each other by having them give an elevator speech about themselves, participate in an icebreaker bingo game, and finish off with a large game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors”.

“It was great seeing students get out of his or her comfort zone and trusting the process. Everyone seemed to be smiling and having a good time.” Jackson Wollan College of Business. The bingo game required students to ask around to find someone that fits the description of the bingo boxes. The “Rock, Paper, Scissors” game required students that lost to cheer on the person that beat them. This game was interactive because the final two left had large crowds cheering them on for the championship.
