Kemper Freeman, Jr., is the third generation involved in the ownership and development of Bellevue Square, a super regional shopping center located in Bellevue, Washington . Mr. Freeman's development company, Kemper Development Company, has also developed two mixed-use projects: Bellevue Place, a 1 million square foot project comprised of two office buildings, retail space and a 382 room Hyatt Regency Hotel; Lincoln Square a 1.3 million square foot project comprised of 310,000 square feet of retail, a 42-story tower featuring The Westin Bellevue with 337 luxury rooms and meeting space, 148 luxury condominiums on the upper 22 stories, and a 28 story class "A" office building.

Projects underway in 2008-2009 include: a complete remodel of Bellevue Square as well as an expansion of the shopping center to include a village of luxury retail stores and a 5-star boutique hotel; the expansion of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, which began in 2007 adding 351 guest rooms, as well as additional meeting and banquet space; and a third mixed-use project is scheduled to break ground in late 2008 on the site to the south of Lincoln Square .

Mr. Freeman has a long history of involvement in political and civic activities. He is a former Washington State Legislator, and has served on the boards of numerous business and civic organizations.
