James Andrus is a partner with a focus on corporate securities/mergers and acquisitions. His practice includes a broad range of corporate finance transactions. He represents investment managers in all aspects of their businesses, including organization, capitalization, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, investments, and mergers and acquisitions. James assists institutional investors investing in alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds and special situation funds. He also represents public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions and with general corporate matters.
Before joining Preston, Gates, Ellis LLP, he practiced finance and corporate law in Houston.
Andrus is a graduate of West Point and the University of Texas Law School.
