
Eric Silvers is a third generation pioneer of Yakima. He is a 1981 graduate of Central Washington University with a B.A in Music Education. He taught choir, band and orchestra at Washington Jr. High in Yakima for 9 years starting in 1981. Eric took over Washington's music program with 12 students, and grew it into an award winning music program with over 250 students involved. Eric began work with State Farm Insurance July 1990. He started as an agent in Grandview, Washington and moved to Yakima in 1997. He is a Certified Mortgage Broker, Certified Banker and a Registered Representative with the NASD. Among his many community involvements, Eric is a board member of Yakima Rotary, Board Member of the National Association of Independent & Financial Agents, and Director of the Yakima Society of Barbershop singing, and he is the Minister of Music at Greater Faith Baptist Church in Yakima.
Eric is married to Ester, who is a teacher in Yakima. Together they have two boys Evan and E.J..
