SECRETARY POSITION

 

 

SECRETARY – BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES (Part-time and 10 month):


Biological Sciences is seeking a colleague who is student centered, customer focused, and engaging. We are a large and dynamic academic department that serves 325+ majors in five programs with 25 faculty and six staff members.  We have a significant general education presence and an active graduate program.  This position provides office support to the department, assists students with general information about the department and majors, and provides support for the Department Chair.

Candidates must have:

  • Increasingly responsible clerical/secretarial experience
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience effectively organizing multiple work assignments, involving competing priorities
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively using word processing, graphics, spreadsheet and database software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
OR 
  • Applicable combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this position.
