Filipino American Student Association (FASA)
The purpose of CWU FASA includes expanding our knowledge about the Phillippines and what it means to be Filipino and Filipino American. CWU FASA will also strive to educate the student body of Filipino culture, providing an opportunity for students to blend their Filipino and American cultures in a productive manner. Furthermore, it is also CWU FASA's duty to improve the academic and social environments through service to the school and the surrounding community. CWU FASA will advocate different political issues within Filipino community. CWU FASA will also promote relations with other Filipino- American organizations in the Pacific Northwest.
Access, Belonging, Learning, and Equality (ABLE)
Our goal is to provide a friendly environment for people with disabilities on campus and in the community, to advocate for students with disabilities, and to provide an accessible environment.
Black Student Union (BSU)
The purpose of Black Student Union is to educate our campus and Ellensburg community on the African culture. We believe in giving the people with no voice, someone to fight for them. Our organization has been around for many years and has always fought for the people that are underrepresented and hope to continue this through ESC. We are a family accepting new members and giving the students on campus a safe haven.
Equality through queers and allies (EQuAL)
EQuAL is a safe space, where no assumptions are made, and everyone is welcome regardless of their background, identify, ability or status. EQuAL is a place on campus to build community, focus on diversity and social justice, and promote political change.
Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (MEChA)
The purpose of MeCha is to promote awareness of the Chican@ culture, keep Chican@/ ethnic studies program in the CWU curriculum. We want to promote higher education and promote diversity on campus that is beneficial to all students. The hope is to create a safe place for all students, and be involved in community service.
First Generation Student Organization (FGSO)
It shall be the mission of CWU's First Generation Student Organization to gain leadership, cultural, and mentoring skills by engaging in volunteerism with students in Ellensburg High School. The CWU FGSO will provide members with valuable communication skills thus leading to a more enriched, productive, successful academic and employment career. FGSO will provide opportunities for enrolled students at CWU to participate in such activities.
Asia University America Program (AUAP)
Our mission statement is to foster friendship and cross-cultural understanding between CWU students and participants in AUAP, which is a five month study abroad program at CWU for students from Asia University, in Tokyo, Japan. Events in the past have included intercultural game nights, softball, pumpkin carving, parties, volunteer opportunities, and more. We also host events involving the making of traditional Japanese and Americal culture.
