Graduate Student Achievement Awards

The College of Arts and Humanities takes great pride in recognizing the outstanding work of its students. Please take the opportunity to nominate a graduate student for an achievement award.

Each recipient will be celebrated and presented with an award, along with other honorees, at the College of the Arts and Humanities Year-End Celebration on May 8, 2018 in the SURC Ballroom from 5-7 PM.

Candidates may be nominated for an award by faculty, staff, or students within the College of Arts and Humanities. Self-nominations are also accepted.

Your nomination must be received by the Dean's office by 5 p.m. on March 16, 2018. If you need an extension, please contact the Dean’s office at (509) 963- 1853 for approval.

Award Descriptions

Outstanding Graduate Student Scholarship Award

This award is given annually to a CAH graduate student to recognize a single work of scholarship that represents a significant achievement and/or a salient potential impact on its field.

Outstanding Graduate Student Artistic Achievement Award

This award is given annually to a CAH graduate student to recognize a single work or performance that represents significant artistic achievement and/or a salient potential impact on its field.

Rules of entry:

(1) work must have been completed while enrolled at CWU
(2) all entries must be submitted using this form, but the student name should not appear on the work itself to enable anonymous judging
(3) students may submit entries in any or all competitions, but are limited to one entry per competition.

Provide a brief narrative argument for the importance and quality of the nominated work, explaining how it represents a significant achievement and/or a salient impact on its field. Your rationale will be a criterion used to evaluate the entry.
MP3, WAV, PDF, image files, or word documents are accepted.
Files must be less than 2 MB.
Allowed file types: jpg jpeg png txt pdf doc docx mov mp3 wav.
