All Power: Visual Legacies of the Black Panther Party
Opening Events, Thursday, September 27:
4:00-5:00 p.m., Curator’s Talk by Michelle Dunn Marsh, Executive Director of the Photographic Center Northwest
5:00-7:00 p.m., Reception in the Gallery

An exhibition that provides a historical perspective on the Black Panther Party movement, and explores how similar social injustices are being addressed today, through photographic works by eighteen contemporary black artists. The exhibition is curated by Michelle Dunn Marsh and is organized by Photographic Center Northwest, Seattle.

Laura Buchan is a wood sculptor based in Stevenson, Washington, who investigates forms found in nature and anatomy. She unites various anatomical structures from different sources (plants, animals, insects, and humans) to create pieces that walk the line between fantastic and realistic.
