3-Year Advanced Designee National ROTC Scholarship

What does the scholarship cover?

  • Full Tuition and Fees at Central OR Room and Board (up to $10,000 per year)
  • $400 per quarter for books
  • Monthly living stipend (only for the months in school)
  • Sophomore-$350
  • Junior-$450
  • Senior-$500

Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?

  • High School Seniors

I'm eligible! How do I Apply?

You can begin applying the summer after your junior year of high school. If you have already completed the 4-Year National ROTC Application, you do not need to apply for the 3-Year Advanced Designee Scholarship. 

STEP 1:  Apply online

Go to the High School National Army ROTC Scholarship Application page
Click the link at the bottom of the page to build a profile and start the application.

STEP 2: Submit the required documents including:

  • A copy of your high school transcript
  • A copy of your SAT or ACT score
  • A copy of the Scholarship Physical Fitness Test.  This can be administered by any high school sports coach or PE teacher.  Click here for the Scholarship Physical Fitness Test form.

STEP 3:  Conduct the scholarship interview

Schedule an appointment to conduct your scholarship interview.  Call 509-963-3520 to schedule your interview at CWU Army ROTC

If awarded what is my service requirement?

Your service requirement is 8 years. With a 3-Year Advanced Designee Scholarship, you can choose to serve as an Officer in one or a combination of the three components; Active Duty, Army Reserves, or Army National Guard.
