2-Year Campus Based Scholarship

What does the scholarship cover?

  • Full Tuition and Fees at Central OR Room and Board (up to $10,000 per year)
  • $400 per quarter for books
  • Monthly living stipend (only for the months in school)
  • Junior-$450
  • Senior-$500

Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?

  • Sophomore students at Central
  • Transfer students who have 2 years left of college.

Email the Enrollment and Scholarships officer at armyrotc@cwu.edu or come in to our office.

If awarded what is my service requirement?

Your service requirement is 8 years. With a 2-Year Campus Based Scholarship, you can choose to serve as an Officer in one or a combination of the three components; Active Duty, Army Reserves, or Army National Guard.

What else should I know?

A 2-Year national scholarship is unique. In order to commission as a 2nd Lieutenant out of ROTC you must complete all 4 years of the ROTC Classes. If you are going to start as a Junior on scholarship you must have completed one of the following to be eligible. 

  • Completed the first two years of Army ROTC lecture courses.
  • Have completed Basic Training. 
  • Attend Cadet Initial Entry Training the summer between your Sophomore and Junior Year. 

Completing Basic Training or attending Cadet Initial EntryTraining makes up for the the first two years of Army ROTC Lectures.
