The Alumni Association began hosting monthly gatherings in the Seattle area in August 2012. These socials are bringing us together to reminisce, reconnect with old friends, and make new ones. Our monthly get-togethers are also providing wonderful social and career networking opportunities for our alumni.
The Office of Alumni Relations presents the Impact of I-502, November 21st (5:30 pm) Legal professional panelists hosted a thoughtful discussion of the legal implications and historic precedence of Washington's I-502, which was signed into law last year. This event gave alumni and friends a chance to learn more about the significance of I-502 as well as network with one another.
2nd Annual Alumni Career Networking Event, November 14th (5:30 pm) Alumni and friends came together at the Seattle Space Needle for this exciting event! Guests mingled and networked, sharing stories and conversing with our professional mentors.

CWU Career Workshop, October 19th (10:00 am) Alumni came to the World Trade Center in Seattle for unique workshops that focused on personal branding, resume writing, and other topics. Special guest speaker was Alisa Charles.
Distininguished Alumni Awards Dinner, October 11th (5:30 pm) CWU and the Alumni Association awarded six outstanding graduates for their contributions to society and their committment to their professions. We were honored by the presence of one recipient from each college, our recent alumni recipient, and Alumnus of the Year, Teacher of the Year Jeff Charbonneau.
Homecoming Reunion Receptions, October 11th (7:30 pm) Alumni of all graduating years gathered in the SURC before the Wayne Brady Comedy show for a reception and connecting opportunities.

Accounting Networking Social, September 27th (5:30 pm) CWU Lynnwood, Woodway Hall. Alumni who studied accounting met with representatives from major Puget Sound area public, private, and government employers to discuss internship and job opportunities.
CWU Participates in Recruit Seattle, September 12th (11:00 am)
Alumni and others came to land their dream job at the Recruit Seattle VIP Meet & Greet in the Northwest Room Building at the Seattle Center. This was a successful career networking event that collaborating with 8 schools and over 60 employers looking to recruit.

Alumni came together at the World Trade Center in Seattle to reminisce, reconnect with old friends, and make new ones. They also had the opportunity to meet the new CWU Athletic Director Dennis Francois.
Summer Wine Tour, July 20th (10:00 am) Our tour departed from Bellevue, made a stop in Ellensburg, and then commenced to touring gorgeous wineries in the Yakima Valley. Alumni guests were treated to a luncheon and champagne toast.
CWU Impact Challenge, June 30th
The CWU Impact Challege kicked off at the SOURCE Winners Celebration at the EMP Museum in Seattle. Our goal was to draw in pledges from 300 donors by June 30th (300 Donors, 30 Days). If our goal was met, we would be matched for up to $25,000 by committed parties… We are happy to say that this goal was met and surpassed with flying colors as our alumni completed 3 easy steps: Give. The Alumni Association was joined by 50-year reunion honored guests as we celebrated the class of 1963 with a welcome luncheon. Members of the CWU community gathered at the Mary Grupe Center for lunch and shared memories of their time at CWU.
A Celebration for Future Alumni, June 5th (5:00 pm)
The Alumni Association congratulated CWU’s new graduates by throwing a celebration party in their honor. New alumni enjoyed a live DJ, barbecue, and beverages courtesy of Ellensburg’s Iron Horse Brewery.
SOURCE Celebration, May 30th, Central Washington University celebrated it's 18th Annual Symposium on University Research and Creative Expression (SOURCE) and Alumni were invited to celebrate with the award winners at the Experience Music Project in Seattle. SOURCE fosters teaching and mentoring at Central; promotes the significance of research, scholarship, and creative activities; engages a range of campus and community stakeholders; and enhances the professional skills of our students. This event also marked the kick-off of our phenomenally successful annual Wildcat IMPACT Challenge.
CWU Aumni Take over Safeco Field April 30, (6:00pm) CWU Alumni and students entered Safeco stadium to cheer on the Seattle Mariners and show their school pride by wearing CWU Crimson colors.

Distinguished Speaker Series: Life on the Hill with Angela Rye April 18, (5:30pm) The Central Washington University Performing Arts and Speaker series presented a Angela Rye, MSNBC Correspondent and former Executive Director and General Counsel for the Congressional Black Caucus at the prestigious Rainier Club in Seattle.
