Alumni Relations Comprehensive Mentoring Program
The Office of Alumni Relations is thrilled to partner with the Alumni Association, the Office of Career Services, and the Center for Leadership and Community Engagement to launch the CWU Alumni Relations Comprehensive Mentoring Program for students, recent graduates and peer alumni starting July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. In today's environment of changing technology and a tumultuous job market, a good mentor can help to facilitate the growth and ability of mentees to grasp career success and meet their long term goals. Success often comes from the support and encouragement of a mentor.
The CWU Alumni Relations Comprehensive Mentoring Program runs for one academic year. In the first year our pilot program is open to 50 students, recent graduates and peer alumni.
The alumni office is looking forward to engaging our community of more than 80,000 alumni to provide mentoring support to students, recent graduates and fellow alumni across the nation. In this first year, the program will serve as a pilot – informing us of the many ways we can tweak and make improvements. We would like the program fully launched July 2015.

A mentor is also important in those times when our goals and objectives are not clear. A mentor can coach a mentee to greater awareness. The mentor can help a mentee achieve increased clarity of purpose and help us focus on the tasks we need to accomplish. A mentor can also assist in the development of personal strengths and achieve a sense of wellbeing, which often translates to success. If nothing else, a mentor can certainly share their road map to success.
