This is the 65th Annual Ellensburg Rodeo and Kittitas County Fair Kickoff Breakfast. It runs  7Am-10AM on August 19th at Rotary Pavilion in downtown Ellensburg.
Pancakes, sausage, coffee, milk and juice. $5 per person, under 6 free.
All profits go to the Back Pack For Kids program. The program sends food home with children in need.

Central Washington University's Continuing Education department is excited to introduce STEM Cats – A Digital Arts Summer Camp for ages 8 to 14! Week 6: Calling all future coders, programmers, & designers! Learn the basics of coding languages like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS through a series of web projects and design challenges each day and be on your way to becoming the next tech star! Whether you want to be the next Mark Zuckerberg of the high school student who just made $1 million dollars for programming in his bedroom, this course has the essentials you need to begin your journey. Projects will be available on a Black Rocket website to share with friends and family.

Looking for a laid back location for star gazing and watching the Perseid Meteor Shower? The Renewable Energy Center will be open after hours with extra tours, snacks, and kid's activities. Bring a chair and stake out your spot on the patio. In order to avoid disrupting the star gazing with your headlights, please plan on arriving by 9:30pm. Note: Due to the moonrise being early in the night, meteor viewing conditions are not ideal, but we plan on having a great night star gazing anyway!
RSVP Required:

Kid's Activites: 7:30-9:30pm
Twilight Turbine Tour: 7:30 & 8:00pm
Star Gazing: 9:30pm-12:00am

Sunset at 8:17pm. Astronomical twilight at 10pm. Moonrise at 11pm

The Pearly Whites are proud to partner with Quincy Valley School for an outdoor movie at The Gorge Amphitheater, thanks to Live Nation! This year's event will consist of concessions and an outdoor showing of the 1982 blockbuster hit E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (Rated PG). All proceeds will benefit both Quincy Valley School and Seattle Children's Hospital! So mark your calendars for Friday August 11th, gates open at 7PM. Come grab a spot on the grass, purchase some yummy snacks from our concession stands and watch the sunset. The movie will begin at dusk. Entry is FREE however you must purchase a $20 parking pass good for maximum 6 people per vehicle. Absolutely no pets, personal food, drinks, or coolers allowed.

This class will provide a fresh and updated view of the aging process while defining the differences between primary and secondary aging. Students will learn about misconceptions surrounding aging in different settings such as in the media and medical community, and how these perspectives can be positively altered. This class will offer every day wisdom about aging well to allow students the tools and resources to set goals to facilitate positive aging for a happy and healthy future. At the end of each week, instructor Laura Attaway will provide Wise Bits and some "homework" to aid students in being more aware of their day which is the first step towards positive change. Four Weeks – 4 topics: Week 1 – Standards of Aging, Primary vs. Secondary Aging Week 2 – Managing Media Myths about Aging Week 3 – Medical Community Perspectives & the Negative Spin on Aging Week 4 – Discovering your personal negative preconceptions & bias towards aging and how to get motivated to succeed Cost: $10 each session
