- I need help with a writing assignment or research paper.
The University Writing Center offers support to all students for ALL classes for any writing project, including graduate writing. The Writing Center offers phone, screencasting, and Zoom consultations. If submitting for phone and screencast, or for more detailed feedback, please take into account turn around time and allow for 48 hours. Wait times at midterms and finals can be longer, so plan ahead. To schedule a consultation over your draft, please follow the directions on our Writing Center Distance Consultations page. You can also book to meet same day with a writing consultant via tutortrac.cwu.edu. During a same-day appointment, writing consultants can go over immediate needs, but you may need to also plan to submit a draft if you need more in-depth help.
eTutoring offers support through an online lab. In addition to the lab, where you can submit papers for feedback, there are live Zoom sessions. During midterms and finals, heavy usage means higher wait times. Please plan accordingly and submit early. During Covid 19, wait times may also be high as usage peaks across member institutions. We encourage you to review wait times before submitting and use the platform that works best for you. To access eTutoring, visit www.etutoringonline.org, select CWU, and request a password be sent to your CWU email. Once you have logged in once, you can save those credentials and bookmark the page.
- I need help with quantitative reasoning or math.
The University Math Center supports all general education QR courses, all 100-level math courses, and some higher-level math courses (depending on the qualifications of our current tutoring staff). We are offering math tutoring via Zoom. You can schedule same day appointments with a tutor. All you need is an internet connection. To schedule, visit tutortrac.cwu.edu and follow the on-screen instructions.
Some QR and Math courses are also supported through PALS. PALS offers you group support every week, and it is specific to your course! To see our quarterly PALS schedule, please visit our PALS page. The schedule goes live the first week of classes. All PALS will be offered via Zoom for Spring, and you will find the link to the Zoom sessions within your Canvas course if the course is supported by PALS.
- I'm in a really difficult course and I'm looking for PALS.
PALS is currently our most popular tutoring offering, where you can get group support every week from a tutor who has taken the course and excelled in the course content. PALS tutors work with faculty to make sure you get the content review that you need to succeed. To see our quarterly PALS schedule, please visit our PALS page. The schedule goes live the first week of classes and is finalized the second week of classes. Students who participate consistently in PALS earn higher GPAs and have higher course success rates than students who do not participate. You will find the link to the Zoom sessions within your Canvas course if the course is supported by a PALS tutor.
- I need help with a subject not listed above.

To access eTutoring, visit www.etutoringonline.org, select CWU, and request a password be sent to your CWU email. Once you have logged in once, you can save those credentials and bookmark the page.

Still don't see your subject? Contact us at email@example.com. While we cannot guarantee subject-specific tutoring for all classes, we can sometimes help if we have a tutor on staff who has taken the class for which you want help.
We can also help you with study strategies that will help you with any class through Academic Coaching. While Academic Coaching does not offer content review, many students find the strategies they learn to save them time and help them process information in ways that helps aid in remembering and learning deeply. These skills are good for all students! To book an appointment with an academic coach, please visit tutortrac.cwu.edu and login using your CWU credentials. Then follow the on-screen instructions.
