Bio coming soon.
Lorinda Anderson, AAP Program Coordinator
I have thoroughly enjoyed multiple career pathways over the last 35 years. Most aligned well with my degrees in Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health and Geography/Natural Resource Management while others were more off-center, but I can state with conviction that all have been deeply rewarding.
Regardless of the employment opportunity, I make it a point to be fully engaged in the work that I do. While managing venereal disease programs, conducting highly erodible land surveys, initiating county-wide waste reduction and recycling programs or directing a civic engagement/leadership development center, I felt that I was utilizing my innate desire to create something innovative and authentically making a difference in the world.
Those two beacons also led me to Central’s TRiO SSS Program. I believe that a high-quality education and a strong work ethic are some of the greatest predictors of personal and professional success. I find it very rewarding to facilitate for the success of hardworking Central students who choose to dream big and pursue higher education as a vehicle for achieving their life goals.
Although my day-to-day work in TRiO SSS is indeed quite fulfilling, traveling is my first love and perhaps the only vice I cannot control. Therefore, most of my personal time is purposefully filled with travels to unknown places. And since I only have one son who is already an adult and undoubtedly the best dentist practicing in Washington state - yes, I admit a wee bit of parental bias here - I am free to wander about the global community. Beyond traveling, I am also a pushover for any artistic endeavor from oil painting to welding and can easily lose all sense of time surrounded by mountains and big water resources.
Regardless of the personal or professional opportunities my future holds, innovation and impact will still remain at the forefront; I will continue developing an appreciation for the even the smallest of details the world has to offer and create ample opportunities to laugh heartily throughout this adventure called life.

In 2001, I began my educational journey at CWU as a participant within the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP). During my sophomore year I transitioned into the TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) program. In 2005 I earned my B.A. in Foreign Language (Spanish with a minor in Philosophy) from CWU. Jordan Wolf, TRiO SSS Academic Counselor
I began my journey towards CWU in 2004 at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. While studying there, I explored a number of degree options that interested me and ignited my passion for helping others, earning my B.S. in Psychology in 2008. From there I jumped across the border to Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, where I earned my Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling in 2011. Throughout the majority of my collegiate career, I also worked full time as a Sous Chef in a high end kitchen brigade. I joined the CWU TRiO SSS team in January 2013. I bring energy and enthusiasm to the advising environment. I get excited when my students are excited. I want students to be energized about their education. I spend my free time reading, cooking, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, experiencing new food, and working off the previously mentioned food.
Heidi Anderson, TRiO SSS Graduate Assistant Academic Counselor
I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Science in Biology from Central Washington University in 2011. Currently I am pursuing a Master of Science in Biology with my research focusing on immunology. I was a former TRiO student myself and attribute my academic success, impart, to the TRiO Program.
I am the first in my family to receive a college degree and I have inspired my own children to pursue higher education. My oldest son Devin is currently enrolled at CWU and daughter Holly just recently graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in anthropology.
During my time at CWU, I have been involved in many activities such ASL Club, First in the Family Club and established the Central Washington University Pre-Veterinary Club. In addition, I have also been very active in the local community. I have been a 4-H Livestock Leader and past board member for Kittitas County 4-H Council. My next academic goal is to be accepted into a College of Veterinary Medicine and become a food animal veterinarian.
Saeed Mohamed, CSF Passport Graduate Assistant Academic Counselor
I am originally from Seattle, WA and I graduated from CWU in 2013 with a Bachelor's of Science in Law and Justice with a minor in Political Science. While completing my undergraduate I was also part of the TRiO McNair Scholars Program and thanks to their staff, they provided me with the resources that I needed to apply to graduate school. After looking into numerous graduate school options I applied to CWU’s Resource Management Program. I recently joined the College Success Foundation alongside the TRIO SSS Team. I try to bring my passion and energy for education to the students that I serve. I get pumped up when I see students who are serious about their academic success that are a part of CSF Achievers, Passport, and TRIO SSS . I spend my free time reading, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and watching the Miami Heat.
