Access, Belonging, Learning, and Empowerment (A.B.L.E.)![]() Our goal is to provide a friendly environment for people with disabilities on campus and in the community, to advocate for students with disabilities, and to provide an accessible social environment.
A.B.L.E. Access, Belonging, Learning, and Equality Dear Students, We would like to inform you about and invite you to join a student-led organization here at CWU called A.B.L.E. (Access, Belonging, Learning, and Equality). The goal of A.B.L.E. is to provide a friendly environment and community for people with disabilities on campus and in the community. We also advocate for students with disabilities and provide accessible social environments. A.B.L.E. is inclusive of all students. A.B.L.E. sponsors fun field trips, and because some of our members are low-income, and in order to be inclusive, we fund all of our activities. Our club also sponsors educational programming on and off-campus, and sponsors its members to attend conferences whenever possible. We allow students to express their concerns by having weekly business meetings where we find solutions to student's; concerns and implement actions necessary to resolve problems. We also have bi-weekly social meetings in which students can socialize, have fun, and get to know each other. Our desire is to see students and individuals with disabilities succeed in life. Part of our time is spent informing students about the resources available to them.
