Animal Legal Defense Fund - The mission of the ALDF is to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system.

Animal Welfare Institute - The Animal Welfare Institute (AWI) is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1951 to reduce the sum total of pain and fear inflicted on animals by humans.

AESOP - Project - [Allied Effort to Save Other Primates] is an international coalition of individuals and organizations dedicated to protecting monkeys and apes.

The Ape Alliance - An international coalition of organizations and individuals, working for the conservation and welfare of apes.

The Arcus Great Apes Fund - Supports conservation efforts that promote the survival of the Great Apes in the wild and sanctuaries that offer safety and freedom from invasive research and other forms of human exploitation. Support from this fund is limited to activities that specifically impact gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans, bonobos and/or gibbons.

Bridges to Baccalaureate- The goal of the Bridges to Baccalaureate Program between Central Washington University (CWU) and Yakima Valley Community College (YVCC) is to increase the numbers of students transferring from YVCC with a Direct Transfer Associate's Degree (DTA) into the Primate Behavior and Ecology (PBE) degree at CWU.

The Bushmeat Crisis Taskforce - Facilitates the work of its members in identifying and implementing effective and appropriate solutions to the commercial exploitation of endangered and threatened species.

Bushmeat Project - Save the Great Apes - The goals of the Bushmeat Project include achieving worldwide recognition of the devastating effects of the commercial bushmeat trade, encouraging and organizing long-term programs and urgent pilot projects that will stop the slaughter of great apes and other endangered animals, and establishing viable alternatives to bushmeat commerce that serve people, wildlife, and diverse natural and cultural heritage.

The Center for Great Apes - Located in Wauchula, Florida, the center was founded in 1993. Its primary purpose is to provide a permanent sanctuary in a safe and enriching environment for orangutans and chimpanzees in need of long-term life care.

The Chimpanzee Collaboratory - A collaborative project of attorneys, scientists and public policy experts working to make significant and measurable progress in protecting the lives and establishing the legal rights of chimpanzees.

Chimpanzee Retirement Sanctuary Northwest - Exists to guarantee a lifetime of quality care to captive chimpanzees who are exploited by the biomedical research and entertainment industries. The Sanctuary allows captive chimpanzees to permanently live in a safe and enriching environment, and supports others to do the same through education and collaboration.

Central Washingon University's Primate Behavior and Ecology program - provides students with interdisciplinary perspectives on the relationships between non-human primates and the environment in both captive and free-range settings.

Central Washington University Psychology Department - offers graduate study in Experimental Psychology, with a concentration available in primate behavior.

David Bohnett Foundation - Seeks to accomplish their mission by providing funding, state-of-the-art technology and technical support to innovative organizations and institutions that, in addition to meeting our funding guidelines, share our vision.

Glaser Progress Foundation - Focuses on three complementary program areas -- Measuring Progress, Animal Advocacy and Independent Media -- The Glaser Progress Foundation aims to build a more just, sustainable and humane world.

The Fauna Foundation - A non-profit organization, dedicated to creating a caring environment for neglected and abused farm and circus animals, and former biomedical research chimpanzees.

Friends of Washoe - A non-profit organization, dedicated to the welfare of chimpanzees and especially the four chimpanzees at the Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute located on the campus of Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington.

Gombe Chimpanzee Blog - The Jane Goodall Insitute's blog hosts "all things related to the Gombe Stream Research Center in Tanzania, site of the longest-running field study of wild chimpanzees. Gombe scientists tell about their work, daily chimp dramas, the beauty of the landscape and the struggles they experience and observe. Jane drops in now and then, too." The Jane Goodall Institute - Founded by renowned primatologist Jane Goodall, JGI is a global nonprofit that empowers people to make a difference for all living things. We are creating healthy ecosystems, promoting sustainable livelihoods and nurturing new generations of committed, active citizens around the world.

Laboratory Primate Advocacy Group- LPAG - The mission of the LPAG is to expose the true reality of laboratory primates from the perspective of the people who know them best.

The National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS) - An educational organization whose ultimate goal is the elimination of animal use in product testing, education and biomedical research.

The New England Anti-Vivisection Society (NEAVS) - Founded in 1895, NEAVS works to expose and replace animal experiments in laboratories and classrooms with ethically and scientifically responsible modern research methods. This is accomplished through educational programs, legislative initiatives, public awareness, outreach programs and publications.

The Orangutan Foundation International - Learn about the Great Red Ape and what is being done to study and conserve them. You will also find out how to help make a difference in the survival of the endangered orangutan.

PAWS - Welcome to a place where abandoned or abused performing animals and victims of the exotic animal trade can live in peace and contentment.

Pan-African Sanctuary Alliance - Founded in 2000, The Pan African Sanctuary Alliance is the association of 17 sanctuaries in Africa that collectively care for over 670 chimpanzees, 80 gorillas, 40 bonobos, 200 drills, and literally thousands of baboons and other endangered primates.

Potreronuevo.org - The goal of this program is to promote awareness of issues concerning the local urban environment through innovative partnerships between artists, arts and/or environmental non-profit organizations and/or local communities. The Primate Freedom Project - The specific purpose of this project is to create a public awareness of the conditions and uses of primates used in research.

Queensland Group for Animal Rights - QGAR is an Australian animal rights group which is a totally self funded informal organization that is currently involved in a variety of campaigns to address legal and institutional issues.

Savethechimps.org - The vision of Save the Chimps was -- and remains -- to create a Sanctuary where rescued chimpanzees can live out their lives without the threat of ever returning to a laboratory.

Save-the-primatessorg.au - Australian non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting awareness about endangered primates close to extinction & raising funds for primate conservation & wildlife sanctuaries projects - such as primate enclosures, education programs, and animal rescues. Currently supporting the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage.

Signing OnLine - Offers web-based courses, designed to effectively teach American Sign Language (ASL) at an individual pace from anywhere in the world. The courses focus on conversational ASL and make extensive use of digital video to demonstrate the visual nature of signing.

Society & Animals Forum (formerly PsyETA) - Since 1981, Society & Animals Forum (formerly Psychologists for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) works with social scientists, mental health providers and other animal protection organizations to reduce the suffering and exploitation of both human and nonhuman animals.

Wasmoeth Wildlife Foundation - The Wasmoeth Wildlife Foundation (TWWF) was established in 2001 to help save some of the world’s animal species that are the most threatened with extinction. Includes great video footage on the“Bili Mystery Apes” Project.
