BFA: Business Council Minutes August 7, 2003

VP Issues:

• The division's budget was discussed.
• FY 2002 Financial Reports will be submitted to the Board of Trustees today.
• Rich reviewed the President's Cabinet meeting.
• The Highline groundbreaking ceremony will be on Monday, August 11, 2003.
• Student Affairs is sponsoring a free lunch for everyone on September 3.
• Rich would like lists of partnerships with the community from everyone.
• Rich recently attended the NACUBO conference in Nashville. There was a combination of facilities and business officers. He received a lot of valuable information. Rich purchased professional reference books, which will be available for check-out in the near future.

Rich reviewed this week's Cabinet meeting.

Financial Services Issues:

Joe was absent.

ITS Issues:

Gene asked for clarification of the President's offer of voluntary cyclic assignments to exempt employees. Information will be sent out to the campus community.

HR Issues:

Temporary employment policies were discussed.

Facilities Management:

The utility enhancement project is underway. They have not yet begun work on SUB/Rec.

EIS:

EIS July Status Report was distributed.
