VP Issues:

Rich reviewed the cabinet meeting and the agenda for the Board meeting.

Financial Services Issues:

The Financial Statements are ready to go to the printer. The auditor's letter has not been received at this time, but we will save a place to insert the letter when it comes.

ITS Issues:

CC fire suppression - the halon system is being repaired by General Fire out of Spokane. This system is inspected twice a year. This is an unanticipated cost and may run about $11,000.

Capital projects - Roland asks that communication improve regarding work scheduled to be done on various buildings around campus that have an impact on computer service delivery. ITS needs better information about where people go when they are displaced from their regular work station. Bill asked if there needs to be an additional representative from ITS at FMD meetings. Roland stated that there already is Keith + one at each.

Music project - ITS is concerned about funding for service.

Old Hospital - Roland asked the status of the OH. Rich indicated that a grant has been requested by Geology and may impact the use of the Old Hospital. Roland stated that this will be costly for Telecom. Bill indicated that Keith is involved in this movement.

Brooklane - The last old infrastructure connection has now been cut over to the fiber connection. The entire campus business area is now on fiber.

COMM meeting - Roland asked if a meeting had been scheduled. Bill indicated not at this time.

HR Issues:

Facilities Management:

Bill distributed a copy of the Capital Projects for the 2003-05 biennium. In the current budget scenario, the minor works preservation projects were not funded. Minor Works program was funded for $2 million. Bill reviewed how the legislation passed will impact CWU.

EIS:

Prospects has gone live and is doing well. There have been no major problems so far. Admissions is scheduled to go live September 8, 2003.
