BFA: Business Council Minutes May 30, 2003

VP Issues:

Rich reviewed this week's Cabinet meeting.
Exempt evaluations are due June 30.
Rich asked that Bill check into hanging banners around campus (has been done in the past).

Organization - Housing (Residence) is going to Student Affairs effective 7/1/03. Sharon Kies' custodial unit will report to Ken Baxter.

Financial Services Issues:

ITS Issues:

Distinguished and/or Emeritus Retirees may continue to have their CWU email accounts

HR Issues:

(none)

Facilities Management:

Bill expressed concern regarding being able to reconcile their WOS to the new HR system. The queries that Mickey used to use will no longer work. Mickey is working with Marie to solve the problem.

Bill Vertrees indicated that only two bids were received for the Daycare Center. Bill is looking at making this an ESCO project.

Risk Management - Bill is supportive, but concerned that renovation of the Old Hospital may cost more than is anticipated.

EIS:

Prospects will go live June 9. Final tests are being done now. Don distributed a sheet that outlines "Using the Financial Management System." This will be on line mid summer and will give information on how to use the system.
