Vice President Business Council Minutes October 25, 2001 VP Issues: Rich reviewed the Cabinet meeting. Effective immediately, all departments will submit justification for filling all positions to Rich for review and approval prior to filling. Effective immediately, Rich will also review all travel requests that involve any overnight stay and/or out-of-state travel. The Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee visited Central to review the preservation of university facilities. Financial Services Issues: State Auditor Office Policy Changes; OFM will now be charging universities for services related to Financial Statement Audits for the NACUBO statements. Joe indicated that CWU is correctly calculating shift pay for overtime. We are still working on the Financial Statements. This is a reminder that we need to be working on agenda items for the December Board of Trustees’ meeting. Board agenda items are due to Shirley by November 16. CTS Issues: Long distance access code changes to 66 next week (Thursday, November 1, 2001). Nancy Jackson will give a presentation to the President’s Advisory Council next Wednesday. Gene Rau distributed a proposed PeopleSoft HR Upgrade to Version 8 and SA Implementation schedule. Gene indicated that Group Wise version 6 is being tested.
