Critical Incidents or traumatic events, i.e.: workplace accidents, sudden deaths, natural or man-made disasters that are outside the range of usual human experience can exceed normal coping skills and can produce a high level of reaction. EAP provides an important continuum of services, assisting the workplace management and staff "working through" the impact of the event. These services include consultation, de-escalation, debriefing and follow-up services as appropriate.
