| Catherine McMillen (Costume Shop Manager) began
her formal training in theater studying costuming under the tutelage
of Susan Tsu at the University of Texas at Austin and later earned
her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Auburn University-Montgomery
while working as the assistant wig master at the Alabama Shakespeare
Festival. Her professional career has included working for Utah
Shakespeare Festival, The Alley Theatre, NETworks productions, The
University of Texas Theatre Department, and Alabama Shakespeare
Festival. McMillen was a guest artist at CWU creating wigs for the
2004 production of “Tartuffe.” She has also worked as a makeup artist
for TV, indie films, photography, opera, ballet and stage. In her
spare time she enjoys working as a freelance wigmaker, seamstress
and upholster. She is very excited to be joining the CWU staff this
year.
