Professional Development
Teachers participated in a staff development program focused on elements identified as essential to the learning disabled student:
- Identification of the problems faced by LD students in mathematics
- Identification of research based strategies to deal with these problems
- Utilization of identified technology for the LD student
- Use of the Washington K-20 network for further staff development
- Integration of reading and writing into math activities
- Development of scaffolds to support the LD student in the learning of mathematics
