Objectives

  1. Create a bulleted or numbered list; create an outline using a multi-level list.

  2. Describe the Outline view; explain how this view facilitates moving text within a document.

  4. Explain how styles automate the formatting process and provide a consistent appearance to common elements in a document.

  6. Define a section; explain how section formatting differs from character and paragraph formatting.

  7. Create a header and/or a footer; establish different headers or footers for the first, odd, or even pages in the same document.

  8. Insert page numbers into a document; use the Edit menu's Go To command to move directly to a specific page in a document.
