Spring 2008 Class Descriptions
Ab Lab (30 mins): A half hour non-aerobic,
non-impact class focusing on core strength and stability. The entire 30
minutes will focus on exercising the abdominal region and training the lower
back. Express Core is sure to toughen up any mid-section and is suitable for
all fitness levels!

Boot Camp (50 mins): Looking
for a great cardio workout? Boot Camp is where it’s at! This class combines
cardio and agility drills to challenge your body on all levels. Expect very
basic choreography while kickboxing, traveling across the BOSU, strength
training your entire body and training your core on the stability ball. There
will be plenty of equipment used and modifications provided for everyone! What
a better way to add some variety to your workout?

Booty
Camp (30 mins): Yep, that’s right… Booty Camp! Spend a
half-hour working those bottoms into shape, using strength training,
plyometrics, and toning exercises. Booty Camp is guaranteed to get your butt
in gear- literally!

Cardio
Kickboxing (45 mins): Punch, hook and jab your way into
fitness! This class utilizes a combination of martial arts and boxing skills,
built on an aerobic base. Get a rigorous workout and increase strength and
endurance to fun music in a fun atmosphere!

Fitness
Yoga (50 mins): This class moves rapidly through yoga poses and
sequences, increasing your heart rate and challenging your body
cardiovascularly. Using the breath to connect one pose to the next, expect to
break a sweat, as Fitness Yoga will challenge your muscles and balance! We’ll
conclude each class with classic yoga stretching postures and a few moments of
final relaxation.

Intermediate
Yoga (75 mins): This class moves rapidly through yoga poses and
sequences, warming and challenging our bodies. Using the breath to connect one
pose to the next, expect to challenge your muscles and balance! We’ll conclude
each class with classic yoga stretching postures and a few moments of final
relaxation. Because this class moves quickly between poses, it is recommended
that you are familiar with practicing yoga prior to participating in this
class.

Interval (50 mins): This class is for
individuals looking to combine a strength and cardio workout in one! An
individual circuit training class which utilizes cardio and weight training
segments to provide a 50-minute total body workout. Be prepared for anything…
jump roping, squats, step combos, medicine ball shuttles… you will use plenty
of equipment to shape those muscles and burn calories in this class! *Levels:
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced (Ω∩≈)
Mat Pilates (45 mins): Mat Pilates is a
user-friendly, pilates-based mat workout that promotes strength, flexibility,
balance, and body awareness. You’ll sculpt a leaner,
tighter body in a controlled, non-impact class and improve core strength, balance,
coordination and flexibility. Don’t be surprised to use equipment in this class
to help tone those muscles and add variety to your pilates training. Mat
Pilates is appropriate for all fitness levels and is especially beneficial for
those experiencing low back pain!

Spin®-Core (60 mins): Spin®-Core combines two of
the most popular workouts into one class- Spinning® and core training! 30
minutes of Spinning® followed by 15 minutes of abdominal training and
stretching. Talk about some serious fun!

Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced (∩≈)
Spin®-Strength (60 mins): Get the most
out of your workout! Spend 60 minutes, two days per week, sculpting your
muscles and pumping up your heart. You’ll interval strength training segments
with cycling segments on the Spin® bike, challenging your heart and pushing
your muscles to new limits. Come early to set up your bike and equipment and
get ready to take your fitness to a new level!

SPINNING® (40 mins): Uniquely tailored to
suit a wide range of abilities and fitness goals, the Spinning® program offers
energizing, outdoor cycling-inspired rides that combine sound training
principles, expert coaching, inspirational music and a unique mind/body
philosophy, all at a self-directed pace. And remember to come early to your
first class, so that we can get you set up properly on your bike. And bring
plenty of water!

Sunrise
Yoga (45 mins): Designed to lift your energy in the morning,
enjoy this slower-paced class that focuses on how you feel in each pose. This
is the perfect class to start your day, as you’ll pay special attention to your
alignment in each pose while rejuvenating your body and mind. And don’t forget
your towel- holding poses can be challenging and sweaty!

Intermediate, Advanced (∞)
Ultimate Upper Body (30
mins): This class is similar to our popular Express Strength class but
focuses on strength training and toning the upper body only. Be prepared to
make those shoulders burn and sculpt a more defined, chiseled chest, back and
arms!

60-Minute
Spinning® (60 mins): A
longer version of our original Spinning® class, this class is not for wimps!
Come prepared to sweat and burn major calories… and don’t forget your water!
