Central Cello Celebration
November 7-8, 2008

Central Cello Celebration, the third cello festival hosted by Central Washington University, provides a special opportunity for cellists, in particular high school level players from around the Northwest, to celebrate their work, their accomplishments and the rich cello repertoire.

This year we are pleased to have among our guest artist clinicians, Cordelia Miedel, the grand dame of cello playing in the Northwest, who continues teaching at the University of Puget Sound and mentoring professional cellists in the region. Ms. Miedel will be giving a masterclass at the CCC.

Tim Janof, director of the Internet Cello Society, who is famous for his large collection of exclusive interviews with the great cellists of the era, including one with the late Mstislav Rostropovich. Mr. Janof will share with us "Tips from the Masters" with time for Questions and Answers.

Join us in celebrating the unique contributions of these cellists!
