McNair Scholar Program

Application Process

1. Review the Eligibility Requirements. Because this is a federally funded program, these are strict requirements.
2. Submit:
   1. The application;
   2. One copy of all undergraduate transcipts (unofficial is okay);
   3. A copy of your financial aid award letter AND your 2007 federal income tax form (include your parent(s)/guardian(s) 1040 if Financial Aid considers you a dependent);
   4. Application Essay; and
   5. Two recommendation letters. (It is most appropriate to obtain letters from CWU faculty. If you have questions or unusual circumstances, please contact the McNair office.) Transfer students, entering CWU as a Junior in the Fall, may provide letters from faculty at their current institution.
   6. Priority Deadline is OCTOBER 8th, 2008
3. Before your final acceptance into the McNair Program, there wil be a brief interview with the Program Director and two members of the McNair Advisory Board.
