With mirrors, you want to get the reflection of the sun into the direction you want it to go in. You need to make sure that you get a good angle on the mirror. The mirror only works on sunny days.

Fires:

You want to get the fire started so that when you see something coming you can put on the green stuff. By putting on green leaves or bushes, it causes more smoke to go up into the air and makes a big smoky area. This is a great way to gain attention. Many people will report a fire it they see the smoke or will go over to check it out. Planes may also be able to see these fires. This is a great way of getting the rescuers attention if you are in a known area. Try and not put too much green stuff onto the fire all at once. This is still wet and can smoother your fire if you are not careful.

Ground to air visual signals:

Practice making these signals with the designated card that you receive. You may get anyone of these to create.
