Topic: Water
Concept: How to find water in different areas.
Skill: Research and find water. Record.
Objective: Students will be able to find water in many different forms and spots.
Lesson Activity: (materials needed: one notepad, pencil for each group of 4)
Students will be sent out in groups of four to find as many different ways and places that they can find water. The water has to be water that you are able to drink and get your liquids from. Students will have a time limit and then they will meet back in the classroom to talk about what they found. Go over what they found and if it could be something that liquid could come from. Then go over the other ways that you may be able to get water to drink. Talk about the different ways of sanitizing the water and making it drinkable but letting them know that if you are thirsty and the water that is bad is your only way of getting your liquids, then drink it. Students will get a chance to test out their skills when we go on the campout by finding and sanitizing the water.
