Topic: First Aid

Concept: Learn how to deal with emergency situations with people.

Skill: Bandage up and stabilize wounded areas.

Objective: Students will learn how to deal with emergency situations by first aid.

Lesson activity: (materials needed: gauze, ace bandages, wraps, blankets, 6 pieces of plywood, tape)

Students will be paired up. We will go over the different situations and how to take care of them. For example if someone is bleeding severely, then they will learn how to stop the bleeding. Activity will be them practicing how to take care of certain wounds and them figuring out how to cover and bandage them up in a way that is secure. The students will learn:

• Abdominal thrusts
• Stop severe bleeding
• Bandage wounds
• Stabilize broken bones
• Find pressure points
