Objective:

Lesson Activities: (material needed: flashlights, matches, extra food, extra clothing, knife, fire starter, first aid kit, map, compass, signaling device, water container, backpack)

Whole group activity with worksheets explaining what they will need to put into the emergency pack. Students will have a list of what is needed and will need to bring the materials to class. Ask them what materials are needed and what they are used for. Why would we need these for emergencies. Students will put together an emergency pack and then we will go through the different items and figure out how to use each one of them.
