Lesson Plan #6

Topic:
- Game Strategies, Mock Game, and Tournament Set Up

Objective:
- Students will be participate in a modified game of Tchoukball.

Skill:
- Students will use various skills picked up in the last week of class, such as passing, catching, shooting.

Equipment:
- One ball for each student, 6 frames.

Instant Activity: Gator Tag

Lesson Activity:
-I. Warm Up and Review
    A. Warm Up for Tchoukball. (Review of Skills)
        1. Get students into partners and have the partners start on one end and a frame on the other. Partners pass back and forth following the rules of the game when they make four passes a shot must be taken by who ever has the ball. The other partner must go and try to rebound the ball.
        2. Go until everyone has had a few shots and rebounds, use reminders like arm way back and make accurate passes.
    B. Once students are warm discuss some game strategies with them.
            1. How to attack the frame.
            2. Positioning for offense.
     C. Get students into teams of three or four. A playing area with a frame and a forbidden zone. Play games for 8 minutes and then rotate.
- II. Tournament Set Up
    A. The teacher will have teams made up before class. Tournament can be full field or half.

Review:
- Ask questions about all skills and rules that are involved in Tchouckball, a review before tournament.

Assessment:
- Observation of students playing games, watching for skills and cooperation.
