Teach students how to do a proper
hurdle.

the proper technique of a hurdle.

Instuctions to class:

Find your starting point on the board
-
Do your regular approach
-
At the finish of your approach is when you will start the
hurdle.

Plant your jumping leg at the end of your approach and jump
into the air.

Bring your knee of the other leg up into the air with you
as you jump.

As you land back on the board you want both feet to hit at
the same time.

Land in the middle of the board and close to the end.
-
Press the board down and as it springs back up you will do
a two footed jump into the air.

A key is trying to jump up high and not out.
-
Once into the air land in the water feet first.

Keep your body straight and tight.
Success Goal:

Do the hurdle and feet first jump 10 times.
