Diving Assessment Materials

Why Assess or Evaluate?
When we evaluate our students were are doing more then finding out what grade they earned in the class.
We have the chance to tell our students not only what they need to work on, but also what they are doing
well. A good teacher keeps their students informed on how they are doing in their class. They keep them
current on how the evaluations are going so that the student will become more involved in the decisions
on what they need to do to get better in an area.

Evaluation Ideas
  • Objective skills tests and written knowledge test
  • Technique and performance measures covering all the skills taught in the unit
  • Skill Competencies: test as unit progresses
