University of Washington School of Fisheries

Salmon in the Classroom is a program run by the the Seattle Public Utilities in cooperation with University of Washington School of Fisheries. University of Washington activities for this program involve tours of the School of Fisheries salmon hatchery, the opportunity for local schools to raise salmon eggs in their classrooms, and  Salmon Release Day, where classroom-raised salmon can be released back into the School pond for subsequent release into Portage Bay.
