-Make students aware of the enviornment in which they live in and give them an opportunity to tie knots
 

Skill:

-Understranding the environment and tieing knots.

-ropes, clinches,
 

Lesson Activity:

 I. Introduction to the environmental safety that is needed.

   A. Give the students a handout.

   B. Begin the knot tieing.  Students get into groups of three or four and practice tieing knots.

    2.  Boatcleat

    3.  Figure eight knot
 
 

Review

-Gather students around instructor. Ask the students one environmental concern they should worry about..
 

Assessment:

-Have students partner up and make sure that the students peer assess each knot the partner completes.
